We've written up most of the headline material, but not really described our everyday lives - so here goes.

What's nice about this environment is that we live in thirty acres of parkland surrounded by a high wall and patrolled, in very laid-back fashion, by security guards. We also have, in the other resident teachers, plenty of excellent neighbours, so Vera and I can leave Jack feral and go out pretty much at will. This is a huge change in our lives. We may have so far only made occasional use of this opportunity, but it wonderful knowing it is there.

As for the neighbours, on one side we have Kirk and Kirsty, a couple of young teachers. He coaches sport with me and she teaches Jack maths, so between us we know them pretty well. We have another nice couple the other side, Adam and Kate, plus a small wriggling milk drinker called Arabella. Adam helps himself from our fridge and I borrow his garden tools without asking, so you can see it's a friendly environment.

Jack spends most of his free time with one or more of the Muckle children, who live at the edge of the same field as us. They roam in the woods or play Monopoly or watch TV in the Muckle house. Yesterday they played football in his bedroom. I've not yet inspected the damage. Their parents are the ones who took us to Naivasha (see article below) and teach Jack science and RS. I spent yesterday evening at their place, drinking wine and cuddling baby Lettuce. I even gave her a bath, which is something I've not done for a few years!

So all in all, our corner of the field is a freindly place and it's a fine environment for Jack.

Bydlíme v 60 ha. parku - a park má bezpečnost firma a vysoký zed'. Také naše sousedé jsou přátelský: tak Jakub ma sto pro cent svoboda, jako lesní jelen, a jeho rodičé mužou jedet v autě kdy chcejí a kde chcejí. To je raj!

Nalévo mame Kirk a Kirsty, oboj přatelsky mladý učitely, a naprávo mame Adam a Kate a jeji miminka Arabella. Adam se půjčí pivo a.t.d. od naše lednička a se půjcím jeho zahradní nastroj.

Jakub hra se dětí Muckle, koho bydlí také vedle naše pole - hrají v lesu, nebo doma tady nebo v jeji dum. Jeji rodiče jsou přatelsky a pije pivo a vino and dávají intelectualní konversace. Včera dál jsem koupelna na Lettuce, jeji miminka!

Tak - naše pole je přatelsji místo a je dobry pro Jakube.
