Cross-country at Turi / terénní závod v Ture

Last weekend I took the school cross-country team up-country to Turi for the prep school Nationals. Jack was in the team and managed a really impressive 48th, running 5.5 km at an altitude of 2,500 metres against the best runners from every prep school in the country. We stayed overnight at a farm / camp site at Kembu which, on account of relief rainfall, looked a lot like Suffolk and had fat dairy cows mooing all night! On the way back to Nairobi Jack saw his first proper wildlife - lots of zebra, a variety members of the deer family and baboons showing us their ugly bums by the road-side.

Minulý týden já a terenní závodní manšaft ve běhu od školy jeli jsme od Nairobi do Turi, místo v přirodě na horách, na národní mistrovství. Jakub byl v manšaftě a skončil 48. - velmí dobrý! Běžel 5.5 km, výška 2500 m, proti nejlepší soukromé školy běžci v Kenye. Spali jsme na farma "Kembu" - tam je jako šumava, protože je  déšt' na horách, a během noc byl moc krávní "Boo!" Během cesta Jakub viděl zebry, mnohi divný "jelenů" a mnoho pavián koho ukázal jeji prdel cestujícím.
