Christmas 2012

Christmas is here! Vánoce, vánoce už jsou.
In the Czech Republic, we celebrate on Christmas Eve. So yesterday, we had a session together with aunt and uncle in their flat, and then supper (soup, schitzel and potato salad) and present opening at cousin's. Then TV. It was more fun watching Mirka (my cousin) cite (very accurately) every single line of the film, which she has seen hundreds of times) rather than the film itself. Santa came this morning to us as well, so we have done Christmas now. It was very, very calm and Christmassy and Jack is now playing with remote control car. We are still on coffee.

Happy Christmas everyone!!!

  1. How lovely, those photos. Thanks for sharing :) Merry Christmas, Michael, Vera and Jack! Looks like you're having a fantastic time :) Christina and Simon (her boyfriend since August) are in Bristol with his parents and brothers and their partners until tomorrow. They'll come back tomorrow morning, then Tina has to work in the carehome for 2 hours and meanwhile Ewan's kids are coming here. When we're all together, well finally celebrate our Christmas here in Yarnton. Did you know that we've finally sold the house? Two weeks ago it happened :) We're very relieved. It looks like we're going to rent for a while, as not many houses are on the market right now, and the ones we saw were either crap or too far out. Hoping to rent a 4 bedroom house with Simon and Christina just over the road in Rutten Lane, which is only 1050 pcm - very affordable to us two parties. We're generally happy, but - of course - a house sale and a move is kind of nerve wracking, we find. Let's hope it all goes well.

I miss you lots. Hoping to be able to come and see you one day soon, if that's okay with you.

Lots of love and big hugs,
    Silvia
