Czech Rugby

A friend asked me to coach his rubgy team while he's in India. Today Jack came to coach as well - the photo is of us being the oppo pack whilst the kids practised their mauling technique.

In the previous post you see me posing with James Bond and Miss Moneypenny. I guess that makes me "M".

The weird thing was that I'd had an interview in the afternoon and that it was only after the interview that I changed into the suit. Now that's my kind of interview!

Having been offered a job by the headmaster at a Waldorf school in Prague, I had to be approved by the entire staff - Waldorf schools have a democratic approach to management. Thus I had to survive being interviewed by a dozen teachers at once...in Czech.

Many searching questions were asked. However, as the staff eat communally, the most important question was what, when it was my turn, I would cook. I gave a sufficiently ethnic answer (something involving forest mushrooms) to be approved.

James Bond - podle spolužáků

A Czech tradition is to welcome those in the first year of High School at the ball given for those graduating (in England, that would be Upper Sixth or Year 13). Jack has been dubbed James Bond by his classmates. The venue was a 19th century building in the centre of Prague.

Culture - Kultura

We went to the theatre today - a performance of New Circus (acting, singing, dancing, puppets, acrobatics, gymnastics and fun). We haven't been to the theatre for at least 2 years. Here's Jack enjoying the Prague skyline from the top of the Old Town Square Tower and outside MacD's.
